ELIO SRL is an Italian startup formed in 2019 in the University of Pavia’s technology center.

The E.L.I.O. project , now known as
SEEFORME.COM, was designed and developed at the University of Pavia by numerous students and professors from the IT Engineering and Economics departments, and officially unveiled by them at Start Up Italia in 2018. ELIO srl, an innovative startup, was formed in April 2019.

Our vision

The Internet is everywhere, bandwidth is set to increase more and more, and connected devices will see exponential growth. Smart glasses will soon become familiar to everyone, and will improve our world and our way of life with an array of ever more innovative services.

That’s why we decided to create SEEFORME.COM, to transport people virtually to every part of the world and give them unforgettable experiences, to boost culture, to improve the world of business and to save time for our customers.

SEEFORME.COM is a web platform designed to revolutionize shopping and remote experiences. When shopping, buyers can immerse themselves in the reality of the store. Users are shown around by a flesh-and-blood human being (on site in the store, museum or exhibition space), and can see reality with their own eyes, thanks to Smart glasses. The sales assistant or guide will have their hands free and be able to show and touch items of interest, and interact spontaneously with the customer who, from the comfort of their own home, perhaps thousands of kilometers away, will be able to decide whether to buy something, and do so directly online, from their smartphone, tablet or PC. There is no smell or taste, but everything else is just like real life: people will be able to visit even the most luxurious boutiques from the comfort of their sofa.

The system is totally immersive, and what people see in reality can be complemented by opening tabs, videos and interactive content directly on the screen of their device. The result is a perfect synchrony between the physical and virtual dimensions, enriched by human interaction, unlike in the detached and aseptic world of traditional e-commerce. An innovative, simultaneous interpreting service has also been designed, to help foster warmer relationships between retailers and customers of different languages
